Caremongering

A blank card that can be filled out with an offer of help to people self-isolating

"Caremongering:" Isn’t that a great word? It gets better. Caremongering is an organized effort to spread kindness by helping others during this pandemic. Canadians Mita Hans and Valentina Harper were the catalysts behind the idea, which uses dedicated Facebook groups to connect those most vulnerable with people willing to help. People can ask for what they need and/or offer assistance. Members now number in the tens of thousands (!). The founders said that their goal is not just to connect people with help, but to show people the acts of kindness taking place all around them.

Caremongering—I love it. Who knew a pandemic could spread kindness?
