I saw that offer today, written across the back of a catalogue. I immediately reacted as if I were a kid again. Free candy! I want free candy! Who doesn't?
A few years ago, I received free candy, and I haven't forgotten it. I was in line at Bi-mart, and the man behind me only had a couple of items, so I offered to let him check out in front of me. He thanked me, then reached into a pocket and handed me a wrapped chocolate. "I keep these handy," he said, "to thank people who do something nice."
Isn't that a great idea? And you know, Halloween candy will be on sale now. Why not buy some and give out free candy? (Free candy!!!)
